We always know that all the star kids who are born with a silver spoon either get launched by their fathers or someone who knows the family very well. They tend to defend themselves by saying they put as much hard work as an unknown struggling actor thriving for one break to prove himself/ herself to the audience and enter the industry, but all of us can’t digest it. Check out these celebrity kids who couldn’t make it big and got rejected by the audience after their debut film.
1. Armaan Jain
He has the looks of a Kapoor but not much of the acting gene. He is popularly known as the cousin of Kareena Kapoor Khan & Ranbir Kapoor. After his debut film, ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’ flopped we never saw this actor in any role in any recent film. However, it seems this ambitious young Kapoor is all set to make another debut, but this time on ‘Bigg Boss 9’ where he will get a taste of living a struggler’s life.
2. Mohit Marwah
He swoon girls with his chocolate boy looks but failed to deliver on the silver screen. A cousin brother to Arjun Kapoor & Sonam Kapoor, Mohit’s debut film ‘Fugly’ was appreciated for its bold subject but failed to gather the audience at the cinemas. Before this, he had worked in a short film by Chivas Studios and garnered attention. Recently he modelled for Provogue India but that it all it has been so far.
3. Jackky Bhagnani
Producer Vashu Bhagnani’s son Jackky Bhagnani was launched in a flop film ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’. Surprisingly he has won the best debut awards that year. But it proved to be of no improvement for his career, as all his films produced back to back by his father kept being stamped by a ‘Flop’ status. The only thing that inspires people about Jackky is that she lost a whopping 65 kilos for his debut film and built himself 6 pack abs.
4. Smilie Suri
Mahesh Bhatt has been successful in launching many of his relatives which include actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri. Smilie, who is Mohit’s sister, was launched in his directorial debut ‘Kalyug’ which was declared a Hit. She then went out to do some unnoticed work. But recently made a comeback of television with shows like ‘Razia Sultan’ and ‘Nach Baliye 7’.
5. Shiv Darshan
Shiv is the son of a multi-talented father SuneelDarshan who is a writer, director and producer. Shiv’s first step in Bollywood with ‘Karle Pyaar Karle’ turned out to be a disastrous fare. Though Shiv had shown a tiny spark of hope of acting, he still hasn’t been approached for any other project.
6. Esha Deol
Esha came as a promising volcano of talent when she won all the best debut awards for her film ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poochche’. However, legendary pair Hema Malini and Dharmendar’s eldest daughter then faced a flow of flops but mixed reviews on her performance. She also ventured down the South in a Mani Ratnam film but she became the talk of the town with her bikini stunt in ‘Dhoom’. But her career sunk later. She is happily married and was seen as a judge on MTv’s Roadies X2.
7. Fardeen Khan
A promising debut with ‘Prem Agan’ which won his Best Debutant Award. He became the sex symbol, beloved son and comedian but remained straight faced in all his attempts. Despite having done numerous films and sticking to the industry for long, his most notable work was a side hero in ‘No Entry’ as the ever confused ‘Sunny’. Looks like being blessed only with his father Feroz Khan’s looks couldn’t make him survive in the long run.
8. Tanishaa Mukherji
A talented sister Kajol and a talented mother Tanuja, but then the gene couldn’t get transferred to Tanishaa. She first entered doing the small roles in many movies but then she became Uday Chopra’s heroine in ‘Neal N Nikki’ and that’s when the problem started. Only ‘Sarkar’ is her hit film so far. After working in a Marathi film, she made an entry on Bigg Boss 7 as a contestant and then judged Gangs of Haseepur.
9. Harman Baweja
A son to Director Harry Baweja and Producer Pammy Baweja, Harman’s futuristic film with Priyanka Chopra ‘Love Story 2050’ wouldn’t guarantee a steady future. With a mere four films, Harman career graph only been witnessing a downward and he is only seen in creating headlines for his alleged relationship with Bollywood actresses more successful than him.
10. Uday Chopra
If Dhoom’s 50th edition is made, you’ll still see Uday Chopra featured in it without audiences even wanting him in a single frame. An heir to a legacy of romance by his father and brother Late Yash Chopra and recently remarried Aditya Chopra, Uday was launched as lover boy next door and then transformed into a dumb hunky policeman with the Dhoom series. He has officially limited himself to Dhoominstalments and has become the CEO of the international wing of Yash Raj Films.
11. Mahaakshay Mimoh Chakraborty
Being the son of superstar of his era Mithun Chakraborthy, Mahaakshay couldn’t win hearts of people like his dad. The Actor was launched in the year 2008 with ‘Jimmy’ where is played a DJ but failed to impress the audience. His last release Ishqedarriyaan also bombed at the Box Office.
12. Tanuj Virwani
Tanuj is the son of Rati Agnihotri, he started his Bollywood career with ‘Luv U Soniyo’. His mother was a renowned actress and model of her times. He acted opposite his real mother in the film Purani Jeans in a relationship true to their real life, that of a mother and son. But none of his films could impress the audience.
