Nose ring is the most Indian form of jewelry one can find in the history of India. There are Indian as well as modern versions of Nose rings in the market. Furthermore, you’ll either need to pierce your nose or just put a sticking bindi on your nose. 1. Sonam Kapoor
Actress Sonam Kapoor was a Desi delight on the red carpet of ‘The Great Gatsby’s premiere at Cannes film festival when she turned out in a stunning Anamika Khanna Couture white lace saree featuring intricate gold embroidered through-out. She also wore a nose ring in her critically acclaimed film ‘Raanjhana’ were she played a Muslim girl from Varanasi.
2. Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta never looked as gorgeous as she looked in her Yash Chopra film ‘Veer Zaara’. She played the role of a rich Pakistani girl and the only thing that could enhance her character was the nose rings that she sported in the film. She had walked the ramp for ethnic couture brand Diva’ni in the remembrance of Film maker Yash Chopra’s films.
3. Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone played a Sanera (fictional tribe of Gujarat) in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela’ were she sported a Nath to compliment here traditional Gujarati Avatar, while in her upcoming film, she’ll be seen playing a Marathi dancer for which she has worn a nose ring again. In ‘Happy New Year’ she’ll be seen giving the nose ring a modern twist.
4. Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan has sported nose rings for her songs. One being in ‘Chammak Challo’ while other in ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’. In ‘Chammak Challo’ she wore a Marathi Nath to compliment her red Manish Malhotra designed half saree. In ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’, she wore a simple nose pin to go with her heavy pink Gharara again designed by Manish Malhotra.
5. Rani Mukherjee
Bong beauty Rani Mukherjee molded herself into a Marathi Mulgi when she did ‘Aiyya’. For a song in the film she donned the Kasta sari and a Nathani became compulsory to be worn. She had also sported a nathni with chain for a Fashion show which was held in the memory of Yash Chopra’s heroines and the launch of the couture brand ‘Diva’ni’.
